The city is getting ready to host the most important event in history; the countdown has started, the pavilion has been constructed and erected, and tens of thousands of volunteers have signed up to attend.
Initially planned for 2020, the show will instead take place in Dubai later this year. Sustainability, mobility, and access to opportunity are the themes of the Expo.
As governments and health officials throughout the globe attempt to contain the spread of the Corona pandemic, the exhibition has been postponed from its original October 2020 date to its new October 2021 date.
The Globe’s Fair or World Expo is an international event that brings together many different nations to showcase their latest technologies and share their perspectives with the rest of the world. In 1851, it was hosted in London’s Crystal Palace in Hyde Park for the first time. Since then, many of the world’s most groundbreaking innovations—from the telephone in 1876 to an ice cream cone in 1904 to a humanoid robot in Nagoya, 2005—have been showcased. By winning the bid to host the 2020 World Expo in November 2013, Dubai became the first nation and city in the Middle East, Africa, and South Asia to do so. Fireworks were sent off from both Burj Khalifas. All schools in the country have been closed for national holidays.
Royal Highness Vice President and Prime Minister of the United Arab Emirates and Ruler of Dubai Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum has promised that Dubai would “shock the globe” in 2020. Present tense: this is occurring
Where is it going to take place
Everything went down at the Al Maktoum International Airport area of southern Dubai. A metro station that can accommodate 44,000 people per hour is now under development, and the 4.38-square-kilometer complex will have numerous specialised cars. Dubai Foreign Airport is renovating its runway and building new hotels in anticipation of the swarms of international visitors that are sure to descend on Dubai for Expo 2020.
Tickets price and the types of tickets
There is a pricing disparity for tickets. Tickets for adults (18+) are AED 120 (about $ 33) for a single day, or AED 260 (about $71) for access to the show for three days. The show runs for 173 days. The pass is valid for any day of the week for a period of two weeks.
Expo 2020 Dubai tickets bought before March 30, 2020, will be valid for the revised dates (October 1, 2021, to March 31, 2022). New ticket holders will be allowed inside the theatre when the exhibition opens. A one-day pass can only be used once, whereas a three-day pass may be used twice within 14 days after the first use and a monthly pass can be used 30 days after the first use, making it ideal throughout the duration of the event.
