Contract termination is permitted in the UAE as long as the employer is given at least 30 days’ notice, or any other lengthier time as may be mutually agreed upon by the parties. Termination is also conceivable if severe misbehaviour is the reason for the dismissal. It is not necessary to offer advance notice or provide compensation in the second scenario.

GRATUITY ESTIMATION FOR AN UNLIMITED CONTRACT

If you’ve been with the firm for between one and three years: After one, three, or more years with the company, you are entitled to 21 days’ worth of pay if you decide to quit.

If you leave your job after five years of service, the employer will give you a full gratuity equal to 21 days’ salary for each year of service.

When an employee has been with the company for between three and five years: Between the third and fifth years of employment, the worker is entitled to two-thirds of the annual salary.

When an employee with more than five years of service leaves the firm for whatever reason, they get a full gratuity equal to 21 days’ salary for each year of service.
